First let's make a short recapture of Cpdm. The process started with Pt.0.R. Explore environment restrictions on level 0, see the top left thumbnail (or for details see the Blog #18. Tailoring the simplified Cpdm). Then the process continued with Pt.0.P. Try satisfy these restrictions and then with Pt.0.A Environment architecture, also on environment level 0 (again see blog #18). To continue Cpdm, from so far being only at level 0 in the environment, we now enter inward level 1, which is the level of "electronic expansion" itself, beginning with activity Pt.1.R Refine requirements from restrictions, followed by activity Pt.1.P. Try to satisfy these requirements, then with activity Pt.1.A. settle solution architecture, and most recently activity Pt.1.F. Finalize design. |
In the level 1 design blogs 29a to 29c, all electronic expansion details were explained, and it is now possible to go outwards again, namely to Pt.0.F Finalize environment interfaces on environment level 0. Here we connect the Electronic Expansion details to its surrounding environment. The interfaces from the Electronic Expansion to its environment are numbered from 1. to 8., see the picture above. The interface names refer to the architecture elaborated in Blog 21. Constituting the environment architecture. All mechanics, electronic and transfer protocol details of these interfaces are described here. This is the last step of detailing, from now in Cpdm continues with integration and test, first on electronic expansion level 1, and then on environment level 0.
