Blog 3. Foundation on swamp with definitions

I have talked about how important it is to build Cpdm on a solid foundation in my previous two blogs. I have compared this negligence with placing a house in a swamp without caring for a bearing sole.

So what constitutes a solid foundation when it comes to a development model? One of the essential parts of a reliable foundation, I claim emphatically, is that usage of words, phrasings, and described concepts, must be precise and accurate. To realize this insight, I have listed more than 250 reserved words in a glossary of definitions at the end of my book on Cpdm; see two definition examples in the picture.

If we try to support the foundation built in the swamp, I exemplify the building technology used in the foundation to define and explain “rebar” and “concrete.” For more than 100 reserved words, referenced in the glossary list, I have designed such tables as shown in the picture above to illustrate essential aspects of these reserved words.

As can be expected in the glossary, not only more obvious words like building material is explained, but also abstract and complex words, especially from the software development community.

In coming blogs, I will add more important parts of the foundation essential for a solid model like Cpdm.
