The Comprehensive Product Development Model (Cpdm) has been meticulously designed to encompass every conceivable aspect of the complex product development process. This exhaustive approach, while thorough, can sometimes prove overwhelming to delve into. Recognizing the importance of clarity and relevance, Cpdm has been refined to streamline the process without losing its core integrity. This revised model narrows down the focus to two essential levels of product hierarchy: the environment surrounding the Caravan product to be developed and the Caravan product's "electronic expansion." Comprising two levels with six schedules each, the Cpdm efficiently organizes 12 schedules in total. Additionally, two designated activities have been included to manage suppliers and samples meticulously. |
Guided by violet arrows, the expected schedules are mapped out, laying the groundwork for smooth application and a transparent workflow. This strategic structuring ensures conciseness without sacrificing objectivity, making the process more accessible and straightforward. The first vital step in product development, according to Cpdm, is to tailor the development model specifically for the product at hand. The simplification just described represents half of this crucial tailoring. The next step is embedding the specific product details into the model, something I will elaborate on in my upcoming post. Your continued engagement in this process is highly valued, and I look forward to sharing more with you soon. This restructuring is a testament to our commitment to maintaining clarity and organization while ensuring Cpdm remains relevant and adaptable to various product development scenarios. See you in a while, and thank you for being part of this exciting journey. |
